This year's GeoPalooza will be a little different from past events and will be a weekend event! This event will be held from Friday August 5th through Sunday August 7th 2016 with the main event being Saturday August 6th for those just stopping by and not staying.

The entire event will be held at my place with free camping, free WiFi, bonfires, free Saturday lunch, free Sunday breakfast and fun! Those camping at my place can camp for free Friday and Saturday night and need to pack up Sunday. Don't worry, because I have plenty of room and permission from the farm across the street to use more property if needed. If you want to camp elsewhere, you are more than welcome to check out all the nice campgrounds in the area. There are also Hotels, Wineries, and Bed and Breakfast places nearby if camping is not your thing. I will post links below.

Friday people will be setting up camp and we will have the bonfire going and of course meet and greet and my garage will be open the entire weekend. Saturday we will have lunch and afterwards those interested will convoy to Geneva on the Lake and some may stay there to enjoy the festivities and some will return to the party where it will continue on at my place. Sunday morning we will have breakfast at my place and then whoever is left after everyone is packed up, we will do a covered bridge tour and part ways afterwards.

Battle of the 3 Bangers - Detroit News

Posted by Johnny Mullet (Admins) at Sep 7 2014, 08:54 AM. 25 comments

Detroit news did an article called "Battle of the 3 Bangers" and the article mentioned and linked GeoMetroforum.com and the reporter interacted with member mjspiess to get the story......................

"Geo Metro owners are a proud lot. Like the Dwarves in Tolkein’s Hobbit, they are a close tribe fiercely protective of their cars and three-cylinder artisanship. They are dismissive of pretenders — ahem, like the Mirage and Smart — that fail to live up to the three’s fuel efficiency potential. The 1.0-liter Smart gets only 36 mpg? Amateur.

They give the new Fiesta more respect.

I contacted the Michigan clan through the online Geo Metro Forum. My offer to reciprocate driving a Geo Metro for the Fiesta was met with much enthusiasm. The Metroids are intrigued by a 1-liter that aspires to the Holy Grail of 50 mpg while also promising performance — a strange concept in the remote, Middle Earth realm of three-bangers."
