Amen to that! Not long after I first got my license my brother and I would take my parents' 'extra' car after a snowstorm and go to a big empty parking lot and tear-ass all over the place. I KNOW doing that taught me invaluable lessons about how a car behaves when sliding or when the driver is otherwise only partly in control. I have hit ice/slippery spots on the road several times over the years and those lessons have served me well and been the difference between spinning totally out of control and getting things back to how they should be. |

I'm glad some one agrees with me. My Mom thinks that is the "Stupidest Thing I ever heard of" hence the name "Stupid Driving" My daughter said the same as you. That driving slightly out of control, in a safe environment, helped her several times in tricky situations. |
