Remember years ago in Popular Mechanics. The magazine got detailed on how to cook your dinner on vacation using your car's engine. That being said I remember being in the field & using foil & the tractors engine to keep food warm (fall plowing). Also on different job various glass & stainless steel containers were secured on/around air compressor to keep soup, coffee, etc warm or hot. So for all you Metro folks try this on your next long commute & save those hard earned $$$. Maybe I'll have a couple of steaks ready for the Geopalooza. MMmm!! p.s. this site gives great info rally glad to find it

Yeah! I actually did that on a road trip to Buffalo, NY by wrapping hotdogs in foil and placing them beside the manifold. They were fully cooked halfway there. |

LOL It always seem to be some kind of a tomato product. Lots of smoke and stink ... Being a non lifer, I thought it was funny. Others didnt

You've got to play around a bit. The article was for a V-8, but logic applies here.Certainly you don't want food around leaky gaskets. Also consider any road elements, dust, stones water, etc. Some wire & a. foil, & ta-da! You are a road Chef!!!!! |
