Yeah. I would do what Firefly stated and remove the radiator, fan, bumper skin, etc. Then decide on how to yank it straight or use bottle jacks/porta-power. I bet you and metroshultz could have that car all good again in one Saturday.

Or, you can forget about all the money the car has been saving you on fuel costs, junk the Metro like your buddy said and get you a nice H2 Hummer ;)

I recently got a phone call from metroshultz and he wanted me to update everyone on this thread. He contacted stormie and will be attempting to repair his car after work :)

He tells me the pictures do not really show it, but the damage may be worse than it looks from the description, so lets wish these guys luck on saving this guys Metro :thumb

And Awaaaaaaaaaay we go,
First, Stormie2178 is the GF. She was searching for help with the car (no one wants to help them out, it is not worth the effort most shops tell her)and found us. I don't know if Bobby will join here. If he does he will probably chose a more masculine screen name. So wish us luck and speed, the weather is not going to be on our side.

Left frame horn, hard to tell. The extension is bent to the right. You can see some rust forming from the cracked paint under the battery.

Posted Image
Front right corner behind bumper. Pushed backward into condenser fan. Entire front is moved backward about 1 1/2 inches.

Posted Image
Front right corner behind condenser. Right motor mount is torn free.

Posted Image
Front left, where impact occurred. Too dark to see, bumper brace is torn free at both ends and pushed to the right.

Posted Image
A better picture of the brace, see where the bolt is pulled from its hole and the entire unit is bent. (the white empty void is actually the piece of filler foam left behind)

I see us spending some hours in the bone yard removing pieces and cutting new steel from another to repair this one.
We will need ;
Radiator,
Upper radiator support,
Lower support, ( I didn't get a good picture of the supports but both are torn and bent, so I feel it would be best just to replace them.)
Perhaps also the left frame extension,
Lower left control arm,
Bumper brace,
Both left light assemblies,
Styrofoam bumper filler,
Lots of zip ties,
5# welding wire,
More than 2 days.
I am going now to see if the batteries for my portable SawzAll are charged.
Then get ready for work. I have two fairly large jobs slated for this weekend so I will have some issue with time management.
If all goes well and easy we should have him back on the road before Monday the 2nd of March. He needs the car for work and school.
(Plus I need to make my sig smaller, it has occurred tome that it is rather large)

Smaller sig maybe, but the facial expression is priceless. :coffee

Reminds me of "If God had intended for us to see the sun rise He would have scheduled it later in the day." :smackface

I said a prayer for your success.

Weather is supposed to get worse as the week rolls on.
Good now, Sat. calls for sun and 50* high.
Sun. calls for rain start and 40* high.
This is the day I will be able to start on the StormieMetro.
Mon., gets worse and snow by Mon night into Tue.,
Upside, cold weather keeps the extra wrenches away from the boneyard.

But we all know how reliable weather men are :lol :whistle :) ;) :O :ermm: :-/ :P ^o) :( :D
