Our first ride on Saturday yielded about 160 miles...We made our way from the Fox River Motel in Seney, Michigan, to a nice restaurant called 'The Brewery" in Paradise, Michigan. From the parking lot of "The Brewery" is a path to the Tahquamenon Falls that you can either cross-country ski, snowshoe, or walk. Since were snowmobiling like most of the visitors, we walked down the path. ![]() ![]() There's a beautiful view of the falls from an observation deck, but the downside is the stairs leading to it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Unfortunately, my digital camera that I ordered from 1saleaday.com didn't arrive until after we left for our trip, so I was forced to rely on my cell phone for these pictures. I picked up a 2006 Ski-Doo Freestyle for my 4 kids just before I left on the trip. It's a single cylinder fan-cooled 300 so it's not fast at all, but kids don't need to go 100mph anyways...

The CocaCola-colored water that flows through Upper Peninsula rivers is caused by the tannins in hemlock needles. The color is very impressive at Tahquamenon Falls, which is the second highest falls (after Niagara) east of the Mississippi. |

I see that you are a sledder too . What kind of machine doo you ride? I've got a RX1 turbo with a 159 finger track that runs real good, Ken. |

I picked up an '09 Ski-Doo MXZ TNT with the new direct injection 600 "E-Tec" engine back in January and I'm loving it. The kids will be sharing the 2006 Freestyle until I can find another Freestyle or two...or three... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I rode an RX1 a couple years ago and was quite impressed...last Yamaha sleds in my family were our '84 & '86 Phazers. ![]()

Ya, my sled is 16'' shorter and 1100 pounds lighter than my Metro and on 17# of boost it has 264 more horse power. Edited by 91 ragtop, Mar 10 2009, 06:02 PM.
