ive been getting these feelings sometimes. my 2000 metro is the first car ive almost completely taken apart. well, if the interior is considered 'difficult' and body work. basically what needed to be done since i bought the car. repair body damage from accident (almost done, just need to put lights and hood on) . the previous owner had a dog. so the consensus was the entire interior had to be removed and cleaned. (yay.) all the interior is still completely apart. i have to fix my DRL because i followed instructions from the not-helpful at all lithan from teamswift. he may have been helpful and active sometime in the past, but all my pms asking him for help and getting together to look at my DRLs have never been responded too even though he lives 40 minutes away. im adding a high-end stereo system, which requires a full electrical upgrade on the vehicle. have to upgrade the alt and both brackets. all at the same time, this is supposed to be the car i'm using to get to and from a job that i said i was going to get once i had the car ready. and i also said i would go to college when i had the car ready. well now i have minimal funds into my bank account. i need a job so i can raise enough money to go to college. but i need to get a car to get a job (well not completely but it does help) . so, i keep trying to get a job, but it's getting hard in these 'economic times' . not making excuses but almost all the craigslist job ads im not qualified to do or want to do. not my dream job, but something i would find exciting is driving the geo-metros (3 cyls) for the car supply stores. except they are all on a hiring freeze right now. although i went into all the stores and gave resumes to managers. anyways, when i do get this car done i'm going to have to do a celebratory burnout or something .

Once it is all complete, you will feel that great sense of accomplishment and maybe decide against the "burnout"

For the interior, anything covered in fabric is the worst offender for stains and odour. What I do : - remove all seats from vehicle - high powered shop vac - vac carpet - get as many different scrub brushs as I can gather - get a pail of hot water - add some liquid laundry detergent - add some no-name mouthwash, nothing too strong in smell - mix solution - get a spray bottle, fill it with some of the solution in the pail - spray any stains and let sit for a few minutes, vac it off, repeat until nothing further is removed (blotting with paper towels also may be required) - for stubborn stains, I scrub and vac - scrub remaining areas of seats and carpet in small sections, vac - leave the seats out of the vehicle and the windows/doors open for most of the day I have tried various "magic" solutions which claim to remove stains and odour from fabric better than others - but so far, none really do much better than liquid laundry detergent and mouthwash. Most of the results are dependant on how much effort you're willing to put in. Heat/AC ducts can also be a source of odour - for that, I use a can of vent deodourizer a few times a year - sold at most auto parts places. Best of luck with your ride. |

Good luck with the jobs. Just a hint. If you find a job you really think you might want, apply then bug the hell out of them. I used to be guy that hired people at the place I used to work. One time this young guy applied for a job. For many reasons I choose not to hire him. He used to come by or call at least every other day, "Hi Sir, changed your mind? I would like to work here." Then one day we started a new project and the Boss said "Hire some guys". Just as he said that, here came the guy that had been bugging me. I told the Boss How about that guy, I think he can do it. End of story Guy got hired. Dosent work everytime but sometimes it does.
