Kickin' Christine to the curb for a hunch-backed Swedish bimbo, eh? :shake You may as well check out Larr's and Sven's web site "Ve are Volvo" and get a heads up on how to keep that tank rolli'n. :lol

Actually, I am giving the car to my wife to drive and we can retire the old Chevy 4X4 for winter use and hauling. I have to repair the vent system in this Volvo since it's blowing oil all over from all seals and the dipstick tube. I was a Volvo Tech for a few years.

Kick Christine to the curb? NEVER :evillol

Wife gets the Volvo....what a gentleman! Now you have more room for cats and dogs and they won't have to ride in the back of the pickup truck .....Wyoming style. (Wyoming...where every dog has a driver...)

Is it true Volvo's are safer than a Hummer? I hear (from the yuppie scum wenches in my neighborhood) that they gots a roll cage built in from the factory and you'll survive indescretions with 18 wheelers that would be "game over" in a Geo. Is it true? Is it true?

It's a 1969 International Pickup with the 333 cid V8, 3 on the tree, red, slightly rusted, runs good, needs clutch.
I was not aware of a 333 cid International...is that really a V8 they had? I worked at a shop that restored Internationals for a while but I only remember 304/345/392 engines.

I've never cared for the Volvo styling but it would make a good family car...supposed to be very safe.

I will say the new ones are a LOT better than the '80s.

Well, the old ones I consider up to 2002 since after that Ford took over. You are probably referring to the ugly ass Volvo 240. That was a little tank!

Yes, Volvo is known for it's safety features and structure. These cars are expensive to repair though! If I was not a tech or had any Volvo experience, I would not have bought this car because one repair on a Volvo can buy you 5 Geo's :)

I already named this car "Carrie" since she likes to light my fire. The sunroof just jammed on the open position and the rear hatch latch won't lock for some reason. It's bad enough I have to remove the intake manifold to repair the oil trap.

I just want to fix these problems and hope for the best. If it keeps pissing me off, I will probably get rid of it.

This car has 111911 miles on it and having all these problems it had is not normal. The previous owner bought it with 88,000 miles.

Maybe she just needs a little love ^o)

Friends of mine have a Volvo - no idea what year or model, but its a 5 cylinder - which I thought was interesting. I know they had the timing belt changed recently, to the tune of $1000. Ouch! Its been many years since I've paid even $1000 to purchase a vehicle!

Didn't "The Saint" (Roger Moore) drive a Volvo sports car? That was a neat ride.

The 333 was in an old wrecker I used to drive, believe it was a Ford, from the 50's
I was thinking of the 345 and got all excited. :drool

At least the Volvo has a nice clean body...all it needs is a waxing.

I noted when working at the Volvo dealer that these cars do not rust out like most cars. Not even fuel or brake lines.
