I'd like that brand too much! epecially 4x4 ones, however did not notice it was taken by Ford... Definitiely a nice car!

Yep, that was the one I was thinking about. A friend in high school drove an early '80s one that was rusty and looked like . A guy I went to school with could have been Clay Aiken's twin brother and drove a faded silver 240. He was actually a pretty cool guy...when it started knocking he put a balanced and blueprinted 4 bolt main 350 in it with a 4spd. He bought a kit from "Jags that Run" or something like that that came with a custom crossmember...the instructions actually had a picture of the firewall with a circle drawn and said to beat that area in with a hammer to make the engine fit. Except for the side exit exhaust and the noise you would have never known it was a 13 second car...stock hood, stock tires, etc. He was street racing in Austin and tweeked the frame bad enough he had to junk it. Another classmate had a wagon with similar front end styling as yours and it had tinted windows and blacked out trim with nice wheels. Pretty sure it had a turbo but he may have added it. It was quick and good looking. |
