I just installed a 3Tech economy cam grind and all I have to say is that anyone who owns a Metro and likes to shift early or drives for fuel economy, then this is the cam for you! Low end torque is so much better and the higher gears are no longer weak. I am posting an installation guide today.

What type mpg increase is expected with the economy cam on a 1.0L automatic?

Some people report almost a 5 MPG increase with the economy cam alone, but I think the number would be more like 3 MPG depending on the year and trans setup you have.

I am a pretty active guy at ecomodder.com and have an ongoing fuel log there. I will be able to post my MPG increases in about 2 weeks.

Regardless of the MPG increase, the smile factor alone is worth the expense! My 3 cylinder really came to life after the cam and gear swap :nfs
