I've been working on assembling the engine for my Civic that crapped out on me a year ago. Finally got it bored and put together...then my hoist quit working. Got that fixed and took today off to put the engine in. Everything is in and hooked up (minus the stripped threads for the exhaust manifold studs...crappy rebuilt eBay head) but I can't find the alternator bracket. Just need that one bracket and the car would be drivable...I fired it up for a little bit but I want to drive it!!!!!! Agh. Derek |

I hate it when you misplace parts! Very frustrating. Hopefully, you will find it

I found it! I'd hauled a bunch of parts and brackets to the car wash several weeks ago in my Ranger. I guess the alternator bracket fell behind the stack of sand bags I had in the back and I didn't see it when I unloaded it. I figured that was where the bracket was...but I sold the truck two weeks ago! Luckily I still had the email from when the guy answered my Craigslist ad so I contacted him and was able to pick it up. I got the Civic back together last night and drove it 100 miles today and it is running great. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=74199&id=618608390&l=c98fb82276 |
