what are your plans? I intend to have the full carputer done soon, atleast the whole car sanded and primed, put the other bass in the trunk and hopefully sell the bitch! and if all that goes as planned, ill be building my 2.5L metro too this summer, so what have you got in store? |

2.5 L? That's sick and twisted! You subscribe to the 'little is good, more is better' and 'nothing beats cubic inches' philosophies, eh. On my summer vacation I plan to once again drive to SoCal and play with Beemers on the 405 freeway at 90 mph. May enter a hot rod show. Certainly drive by the Ferrari and BMW dealers in Newport Beach, Calif. at 6,000 rpm and again while rapping the throttle. Just to turn some heads. You know... made you look! Yea, I did it last year but it's soooo satisfying. Gotta have your dreams. Oh, may come back home and put a new 2 stage clutch in for fun.

Get rear window tinted, new front windshield, secure subwoofer to the frame (right now its just sitting in the trunk and that is dangerous), wash/wax and repair some paint that I did last year that is starting to rust out again. |

Fix the oil burning, add rear wheel skirts, under body pan, finish the interior, maybe get a radio, 32 inch monster mudders, Warp drive nacelle, but that's about all |

rebuild either the engine that is in the car, or the spare that I got when I bought the car and trading em out. Mine loses oil around the seals. maybe fix the headliner hope to repair or replace the driver's side rocker panel passenger's side cv joint too and finally get the check engine light worked out some overall maintenance and cleaning would be good too, I'd actually like to remove the rear seat since I am often putting my bicycles in the back of the car to drive to races and it's cooler to have the bike in the car instead of on a bike rack, for theft reasons and to keep it out of the elements Edited by Rowbear, Apr 3 2009, 05:08 PM.

My list is shorter: This summer, I want to accomplish exactly one thing with my Metro: I want to acheive a peak mileage of 60 mpg. After that I'll consider Schultz's warp nacelle modification. But only if it does not cost me any mileage. |

I am shooting this summer to beat my all time best mpg of 61.33. Above that, and this is going to get morbid... I am considering replacing my Metro. I have been plagued by rust. None on the control arms, but multiple holes in the rockers, swaybar mounts, rear suspension, rear wheel wells, front frame near motor mounts, and misc. other places around the underside. I am going to try to find a suitable replacement (hoping for a 1.3L 5-speed) and then using mine for parts. |

Replace timing belt & water pump on 3cylinder Metro. Work on rear sway bar mounts & fender well (inner) rust on 4cylinder Metro. Plus tune-up on both Metros. |

I've got a rear sway with the body mounts, but not the physical mounting point welded to the frame... do I weld them? |

Okay F.Daug do you or your friends have a welder? That's what I'm gonna do. Fabricate. It is on the dirty side so I'm gonna make it work 1rst, looks won't be my main concern. Hope that helps. |
