If you had to guestimate the mpg a metro does what is it at 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4 a tank? I get about 200 miles at half a tank, however my gas guage seems to move while I drive and on E it takes like 6 gallons to fill up or the pump clicks off.

For example, on my 09 scion xb half a tank, 200 miles traveled means 30mpg. My tacoma, 175 miles at half a tank means 18mpg.

My Metro can read dead empty and when I fill up I can only squeeze in 7-8 gallons. The gauges on these cars just you a general ideal of how much fuel you have and are not accurate by any means.

Thats good to know. Roughly for your car, how many miles did your metro cover at half a tank?

Victory is mine!!!!

I cover about 250 in the first half depending on weather and my driving style at the time. The second half seems to drop quicker, but I also only get about 7 gallons on empty. I don't think it's feasible to judge your mpg by needle position.

Gas Gauge? Oh, that's funny! :lol
My gauge needle never hits full. Maybe 7/8. It drops really fast to 2/3, slows to 1/3 then drops and stalls again at empty. At mid "E" it has used maybe 7 gallons. :spaz
I think "we" have a mutual understanding. It gives me 50.7 mpg and I don't drive over 450 miles before filling up or it makes my life miserable. :x

I know I should, and will, get into the gas tank and clean the contacts. :smackface

ill get 500km on the full tank if im lucky. 38 bucks 94 octane, roughly 36 liters/9ish gallons, which isnt too bad for a crazy modded 3banger I bag all the time. best ive gotten was 520km, worst was 300 something. I try to have 220-230km by the time it crosses the halfway mark
