Politics in the United States and the world in general is a topic of heated debate these days. This is perhaps more so now than at any other time in recent history. The current state of the world economy and the election of a new U.S. president only help to agitate this topic from all sides. Everyone is effected by this situation in someway or another from higher prices and lower income to job loss. The Geo Metro, along with it's sisters, the Suzuki Swift and Pontiac Firefly is a very unique automobile in the fact that it has an almost universal appeal across people with very different views. Conservative people enjoy the Metro for it's personal economic benefits and the opportunity it provides to the "Shade Tree Mechanic." People of a more liberal disposition like the Metro because it is the "original go green machine" and has not been surpassed or even reproduced at the same price point. While our love for the same automobile serves to unite us on this forum, our own personal views often threaten to drive a wedge in that unity. It is for this reason alone that the topic of politics is off limits on this forum. So, whether you are here to save some $$$, save the planet, or deny terrorists your money, Geo Metro Forum is a place for us all to enjoy the vehicle we love, and the friendships of those who feel the same way. Now, pull up your chair, leave the problems of a chaotic world behind, and have a good time.
