These came off a Mini Cooper and the size is 175/65/15 I am not sure if they will fit without rubbing or not. The bolt pattern will fit since they are uni-lug 4 bolt. A local guy has these for sale at a good deal.............

I'd give'em a shot !! They are only a little more than an inch bigger in diameter than the 155/80-13's and maybe 3/4 of an inch wider ...... unless the offset is radically different, it should be no problem ! They'd look sweet, all polished up on your Metro

Go for it! The worst that happens is they won't work because of their offset. Even if they don't work you can always resell them to someone. |

Johnny, do you have a floor jack? Drive over and try one out, the seller shouldn't mind if you promise to pay cash if they fit. One should tell the tale, eh. Maybe even a test drive, a little kick.... |

Tires are going to be 1.3 inches taller, might be just the ticket for mileage. 60 mph on the speedometer will be 63.2 real speed. Wheels look close, just looked at a buch that were recommended for the MINI and they're 15 x 6.5 with offset from 38 to 43. I've got 15 x 6.5 with 40 offset on my 98 and got very slight fender rub on extreme compression until I rolled the fenders with a baseball bat. 43 mm would be great. Be sure to check the mounting before promising anything, some "universal" lug patterns are 100/114, some are 100/108. MINI needs 100, we need 114. |

Then tires will be 1.3" taller? Ok and then your going from 13" rims to 15"? so that gives you a 3.3" lift. I can't imagine these tires have a shorter wall that a metro tire. |

Sidewall is almost half an inch shorter, and that's not particularly short. I have 15" wheels on my car that turn out just a smidgen less diameter as the stock 13", sidewall 1.1 inches shorter. Sidewall height is radius, not diameter, needs to be doubled. Also, remember that a 3 inch difference in diameter is only a 1.5 inch difference in lift. The 1.3" was for overall diameter of the tire. |

Go ahead Johnny, Those 8 hole rims has both sizes to fit 100 and 114mm bolt pattern... so basically they are dual to fit most car brands having 4 lugs |

For those of us in our '50s and beyond, that may be a feature rather than a defect... just realized...this is an old thread...doh... Edited by JoeBob, Dec 31 2010, 03:15 AM.

If they rub you could always get longer lugposts and some spacers. That would pull it out a quarter inch or so. |
