I wish I could make it! But have already made plans to visit Bonneville Salt Flats in Mid Sept. It is one He!1 of a long way from Humboldt Co. CA. Maybe next year. It is kinda cool to find out I am not the only one who really digs his Metro.

What I bring as far as food goes? I was thinking of pickled eggs, macaroni salad, baked lima beans, etc. Sorry about the whole Cavalier thing. I was going to get a metro, but the cav looks cool and the price was right.

I am really getting excited now that it's less than a week away! I will have a few people helping out as far as the cars go. We are all going to line up our cars along the lake shore car show style. All the Geo Metro/Suzuki Swift models will be in one line and any other econoboxes that decide to show up will be in another line facing the Geos.

Don't be embarrassed to show off the piece of crap because none of us have perfect cars. There is a car wash less than 2 miles from the meet if you want to clean it up after the road trip. I assume this will generate a lot of people wondering what the hell kind of car show this is, but regardless, it will be fun :evillol

Bring your spare parts, cameras, video equipment, etc. It would be nice if someone could shoot some video and make up a nice Youtube clip of the meet.

I am not sure if MrHand is doing the T-shirt thing or not? I could PM him and ask.

actualy... from a body mans stand point it is... i bet if they made a 2 dr hatch of a cav it would have a simmalar look to a metro! the rolled hood that goes to the bumper, the triangle headlamps, and even the intirior has hits of metro in it... the only diffrance is its a GM engine insted of a Sizuki.

guys @ geneva ill have the old detail box with me... so you can wash and wax at the campground, Vacume it out before you come tho... i dont have a vac. and if anyone has some back to black bring it!!!

My Metro is running as close to perfect as I have ever had it now,
The outside still looks like Frankenstein.
I tied to wash and wax her once, but that only made it worse.
The only thing to make her look better would be some fresh paint
See you at the water.

I only have a 3.5 megapixel camera, but I'll take as many as the batteries let me.
You should start something similar on your side of the water.
Then we can ask you for pics.

I just finished loading up the van and getting the parts strapped down. Packed up and ready to go now.

I am leaving around 10 tomorrow morning and will hopefully be there before dark. I planned on getting there a day early so I can goof around and be lazy. :beer When you guys show up Friday, if I am not around look for us at the lake if the van and car are there.

This time I will take lots of pics even if it is raining, I will be in a nice comfy conversion van. :drivin I bet I only get 15-18mpg with that load on the back the way it is. Guess I will find out tomorrow.

Since I have a trailer and it should be unloaded Friday, if anyone has any problems heading there and is close enough to get rescued give me a call and I am sure we can round enough people up to mount a rescue effort to either get the car running again or tow it in to be repaired. I am not bringing a lot of tools but just the basics. The basics are usually enough with these cars though. There should be enough people there with tools so that no matter what is wrong we can figure something out or at least get the car somewhere safe.

Rick (304) 583-6573 to call me. I have no idea how to get anywhere there so if you are lost call someone else ;)
