Well, Johnny Mullet and his sweetheart wife pulled it off again! After much effort on their part, the 2nd Annual GeoPalooza was a great success...Kudos and blessings for all you've done, and continue to do, to make our "Metro Family" a wonderful community. My kids, brother, and I attended the event, traveling 230 miles from Sterling Heights, Michigan in 3 of our Metros and had smooth sailing in both directions. The highlight for my teens was meeting the one-and-only, internationally famous JOHNNY MULLET! An unfortunate loss for the entire event was the fact that forum member "PA.metro, fixer, frames, ect" got bad directions from some locals and couldn't find the park where GeoPalooza was held. After much searching and frustration, he and his girlfriend finally found us at Geneva State Park campground around 11pm. I felt so bad for them as you could sense they had a stressful day because of their fruitless search. PA.metro, fixer, frames, ect had with him a Metro that would've absolutely sold the show...I'm sure some of you will recognize the car, as it was for sale on Craigslist by the previous owner for an astronomical price. ![]() I thought about it, but my metro has an on going oil leak and an axle popping. I have been using it to get back and forth to work, about 420 something miles a week. Been enjoying my hybrid. If I went I would of been out of place with my honda. I thought econbox owners were welcomed too? Yeah, if I get rid of my metro, it would be for a convertible. I always want a convertible, however most get so,so fuel economy. You guys can make any car pop with about a day or 2 of hard work and about 100 bucks in supplies. Use length wise strokes for everything but polishing, plastxing and wax removal, use large circulator for those and no machinary. 1, wash your car, I like rainx car wash with wax 2, dry with an absorber. 3, clay it with a clay system and clay til its clean 4 get a bottle of polish and rub the hell out of it toget what claying did not 5, wash, dry and look at your job. If its like new, wax it, if not, re clay and polish 6, use a liquid wax like rain x, macquires nntx2 synth wax. Cover all surfaces with wax so its creemie looking, then get the terry cloth towels and start wiping. 7, look at your work. does it pop or does it seem slightly dull? If slightly dull, rewax with a microfiber this time for removing the wax. 8 are your lamps crystal clear? If not, get some plastx and rub the hell out of them. You should spend at least 15 minutes each lamp. 9 use back to black in the red bottle for all plastic surfaces and likewise, rub the hell out of them when applying it. 10, rain x the windows to get that rain free mirror like shine.

Since we had left Michigan very early Friday morning, upon entering the area near the Geneva State Campground where most of this years' attendees were camping, we decided to stop and grab some breakfast at Dean's Restaurant...good eats. The campground and it's facilities were nice and clean, and it's sites were spacious...![]() Even though the bathrooms/showers were close by, we found ourselves driving over...Just like any typical Metro lover...taking ever opportunity to drive their car. ![]() Friday evening, J.M. came by the campground and eventually lead us over to a happenin' strip a few miles away called Geneva on the Lake. Although there was lots to do there, since it was getting dark quick, we limited ourselves to sharing some conversation down by shore of Lake Erie while my kids attempted to skip rocks. There was a beautiful sunset, but I failed to capture it...I was too busy gawking and talking. Parking was unknowingly $3 each, and it was funny how the guy on the little rascal came 4-wheelin' over to get our money. Saturday morning we set out in a convoy to the park where GeoPalooza was actually held...It was only about 20 mins away, but the group made a wrong turn briefly and got caught waiting for a lift bridge to come back down. I took the lead with my GPS and took us down a very steep cobblestone street which turned out to be rougher than expected. MetroSchultz was scraping his air dam as a result...Sorry Paul... ![]() Hacksaw. |

They are welcome but I am thinking since last year when the event was coined "Geopalooza" it has evolved into a Geo Metro event. |

I'd really like the pictures... won't be bad to put names on them so others did not assist (like me) meet them as well...
