It all depends on how you drive it :drivin

Usually when I see an Insight, Prius, or other Hybrid, it's passing me at 80 MPH :rad

I was in my Dakota doing 85mph and I got passed by a Prius doing at least 90. And then I passed a H2 doing 60, which I had to applaud him for doing.

Worse I have gotten was 44mpg. Thats leaving it running with the ac on when I go into a store and doing 70 down the interstate. Still 44 isnt that bad for a 5 passenger car using the ac when iuts not occupied and speeding. They say over on the blogs going over 70 causes it to constantly dip into the hybrid assist mode where at 70 it will rest and use engine only.

I darn near made it to Geopalooza and back on one tank of gas! I ended up filling up about 60 miles from home just to be sure but probably could have gone another 100 miles. I averaged 50.35 mpg for the trip, and I probably averaged 67 mph on the highway.

I drove a rental 09 camry and nearly wrecked it. Granted it got 30mpg with quite a few jack rabbit starts the tranny took forevar to upshift and down shift. It did not have trac control and I got sideways on a downward hill banking left with no guardrail covered in leaves. Why an entry level car like a scion has trac and skid control and it did not, beats me.

Needless to say although I have owned a few toys, the were not interest in selling a fat tall guy like me who works for a bank in a hybrid. I went next door to the honda dealer and walked out a hybrid owner a few hous later and traded both toys for it. The honda handles way better than any toy I have driven. I just wished the ones I drove into the shop when I worked at sears tire america were as roomie inside for the driver. Many hondas I felt like a hippo trying to get in a go cart and had to move my stomach to see the dash board and my nuts to move the steering wheel.
