Thank you Potter. Here's the photobucket video (1:44) of the pipe Schock00: ![]() I think I'd just installed the 3Tach performance cam which is why it idles rough. It's a SuzukiRD header, 2" pipe, Catco flow through converter, 2" pipe, 1-1/2" pipe to the 12" Jones glasspack. I added the chrome tip to help get the sound waves beyond the bumper. I like it. Most shops will install a nice Cherry Bomb for you. Yes, I do need to do a video of it under load; driving off and a drive by at 65 in like 3rd, eh.

I believe it's $175 USD. I got the "econo" cam for The Wife and street/race Performance cam for Moi. You also want a $25 +10 Deg. cam gear also. One can debate the horsepower gains, manufacturer claims, for plugs, plug wires, grounding wires, air filters, synthetic oil, boxes, flow through anything, yeda, yada. But the cams and cam gears make a quantified difference in performance. Mine for over all power and the "econo" Johnny Mullet testifies to in the thread:Installed the 3TECH Performance Cam. at the bottom of page 2. Click on 3Tech Home Page. |

Yeah I need to get some new spark plugs any suggestions and I think I might get a K&N air filter but do they really do that much in a Geo? I had one in my F150 for awhile I noticed a bit of difference but that a 351 Windsor lol..Then the mice got to it and ripped it all to hell. |

"Many parts are edible." I've read about the negative Duramax ISO 5011 filters test and K&N says they've done a positive ISO 5011 test on their filters. The rest is mostly opinion. Yes, done incorrectly the filter oil can affect the Mass Air Flow sensor. Paper is plug-n-play, K&N takes some work. I clean the K&N twice a year so it's paid for its self in 2 years at $15 per paper filter. The only reason I see for switching back to NGK is the engine is Suzuki. Not because my Bosch are not Japanese or for any other reason. I got 2 great sets of Bosch Platinum +4s. Lucky I guess. but everyone else likes NGK. Try: http://www.sparkplugs.com for a comparative performance chart and maybe cheaper plugs. |
