I've lost the picture years ago but the scoop was similar to what you see on the hood. I don't have any details other than: This is an unusual modification. As many of us are aware, there is a lot of heat on the feet with these cars. John placed an air scoop on top of the right rear fender and then ran ducting to the floor boards. He reports a substantial reduction in "hot foot".

Are you actually planning on deleting your air conditioning altogether? If you are, send it my way! (I'm trolling the forums right now for some A/C stuff....) |

If someone removed the a/c, maybe they didn't plug the three holes in the floorboard where the coolant lines came though and where the drain hose went. All my Mk2 and 3 cars w/o a/c have rubber plugs in those holes. So used one's the correct size shouldn't be hard to come by. Check the plastic tube that goes between the blower and the heater assy for proper fit. This tube is bigger than a dryer vent. |
