Here are some Pics of the bodywork for the Metro 3 wheel project.

OOPS......

Smart enough to attempt to build a car, but can't figure out how to post pics. If someone is willing to post pics for me, I will send them to you by email.

Anyway,
pic one is the main buggy body that is shortened 8" and narrowed 4" then tapering it for only one rear wheel.

pic two is the front end view with the one piece fender and hood assembly attached

pic three shows a view from the rear.

This is loosley based on the Corbin Raven.

Thanks for the help with posting the pics. :thumb

The framework is being done now and should be rolling in about a month. It is a single seat super lightweight.

I have 14" 3 spoke wheels, but will need some tires, or... I also have the original 12" wheels and tires.

Why re-invent the wheel. :news

What parts would be recommended for making a 70 mph car that gets 70mpg??? :drivin

I do have access to some XFI parts.

I really look forward to all the updates on this ride.

Aerodynamics and weight will produce the best MPG's at that speed. I suggest an XFI engine/trans combo or any G10 with an econo cam and a higher ratio trans like the 4cyl manual trans. Skinny tires will help with rolling resistance.

Will the 4 cyl or XFI trans be TOO much if I use the 14" wheels??

Back in August I posted that the buggy would be back home in a month, and....... well its now home!!! about 5 months later. Remember, ANY PROJECT TAKES TWICE THE MONEY AND FOUR TIMES THE TIME !!

Most of the bodywork got broken or cut and modified during the constructing and will now need to be refit and repaired. It starts and runs, but needs a permanent location for the battery and fuel tank.

A three wheeler should be even better with MPGs - less road friction and reduced weight from subtracting that 4th tire!
