This car is done! Buffed, glazed, waxed, and polished. I took pics, but the car was too damn shiny and they did not come out except one taken later when the sun was setting. When I got home, the wife could not believe how it looked! Sure, there are a few minor imperfections, but overall, the car looked outstanding. I called the original owner and asked if was going to be home. He asked why and I told him I had something to show him. Let me say that he was blown away at what his old rusty Metro looked like now. Not only how it looked, but how it ran. I let him take it for a spin :nfs

I agree, do you like odd forms of toture? Because that would have been toture to me if I was the previous owner and seeing my rusty POS look like new again shortly after selling.

How does the rust on the frame up front look Johnny? I don't remember you posting anything on it for this car and it seems to be very common.

Well, the frame and undercarriage are in similar condition as the red one, except this car has more rear rot than front. Almost like the rear half of the car was sitting in grass for a few years with the front half on pavement. I see a few holes in the front parts of the subframe mounts and poked around and found a few other spots, but it's not pulling away like what started to happen with Christine. I will do some reinforcements to it soon, but I am not worried about it yet. The car is very tight and handles like a 70,000 mile car. No crunching noises from the rack, no vibration at high speeds, no sloppiness or anything. Like PA.Metro stated..........

"Handles like a cat on carpet"

I really worked my ass off on Blue Jay and my friend at work did also. In my opinion, my wife has a nicer Metro than I do, but that is the way I wanted it. She loves the car now that I officially delivered it to her yesterday. All her friends and customers at work seen it when we first got it and we even got a few rolleyes and WTF's from her workmates, because basically, it looked like a piece of shit, but when she drove it in this morning, everyone was totally blown away! It's so cool now that I park next to her when I stop for my coffee and see the wife on my way to work.

It's twice as nice.....................

You know, it's a damn shame composite headlights for MKIV's and MKV's aren't cheaper than what they are currently :(
