I am flexible, you can ride with me if you are unsure of your metro. My metro is paid for and my backup car incase I end up sol. My dad calls my metro my retirement policy. Just buying up some turkey jerkey, chicken buffalo nuggets and the focus gatorade drink. Thats great stuff to help keep your mind on the road and reduce the jitters from caffeine. Harder to find since the Tiger Woods thing. Hey, anyone got an old desktop computer they are willing to sell? |

Gawd, that is a not funny story, but hilarious at the same time. "Yah, we got one squad car, but don't worry, if you call, we're definitely coming !"

You don't want me riding with you. I am a total jerk when someone else is driving. I honestly can't help it. I get nauseous and then start complaining if they don't keep the speed steady and anticipate maneuvers to make the ride smooth. Also, I smoke and sweat like a pig. Actually, I am even a jerk when I am driving. On a trip to Canada during which I followed my parents and my older sister's family, I went insane because they refused to keep the speed steady. All three vehicles had cruise control, so there was no excuse for the constant speeding up and slowing down. I left them behind in disgust. Then they called me on my cellphone and wanted to know why I left my position in the convoy. I told them only an idiot would have cruise control and not use it on long stretches of highway and said I would have a table waiting for them at them at Cracker Barrel. But I am not a jerk in general. I just have pet peeves. I don't think speed will be a problem anymore. These bigger wheels/tires seem to have corrected the problem with high speed vibration. It drives as smooth as silk from 55 mph to 70 mph now. The rear hatch shocks don't even rattle unless I hit a pot hole. |

70? I set the cruse to 85 in WV. MD has those dam speed cameras and cops have red/blue lights. PA got those funny reverse negative license plates, black background yellow characters and fake police car cut outs on side of the highways. I was actually going to let you drive.

you can maintain 85? wow. I hit 85 (it would NOT go any faster) and even the slightest grade took me down to 81-83 mph :-) |

I'd be afraid to go that fast in a Metro. Even if it drove smoothly, I would have visions of one of the wheels falling off sending me into a death flip. |

Here is an update. I went down to the campgrounds yesterday and checked out our reserved area. The owners stated those needing electric sites around the pavilion can spread out where they need so you guys have plenty of room. Make sure you guys bring extension cords long enough to get to your spot since the hook-ups are on the pavilion posts. The primitive sites are nice and have shade trees. There are still plenty of sites left so call them up. |
