right click on the image , from the dropdown select view image to enlarge the image ![]() speedtracer is included with Autoenginuity , i have had Autoenginuity for years and never used speedtracer until tonight i used speedtracer to calculate fuel mileage in real time , and per the current trip . driving on local roads then on the interstate acroos the hudson river to the nearest shell station . i had to configure the software to the car and ambient pressure and temperature as well . speedtracer saves the data in a csv or xml file for playback or fiddleing with later or the graph can be saved or you can just press printscreen and save the file in a graphics program or mix and match with AES annowave as i have done here i am going to be using it to test changes as i make them ... so i don't not have to wait for a whole tank of fuel to be used to figure out that i have screwed something up speedtracer has tabs to graph and log various things as seen in the headers of the screen caps while it may not be 100% accurate AE software is consistant and it will provide a relative value that can be used to judge modifications for their value of improvement or degradation of .... what you are hoping to improve with your modifications kinda like what people are doing with scangauge 2 but a bit more advanced unfortunately the MPG graphing and datalogging peaks at 60 mpg , which is not not high enough for Geo Metro users ... i have requested a way to increase that value , if one currently exists ... I want to see the results of this test! They can't believe that such sophisticated users of their software, like yourself mwebb, can't get better than 60 mpg! No, wait, they could. Either way, it looks like route 52 HJ through Fishkill is the way to go, eh. No scangauge, no OBDII or Autoenginuity... I'm going out for a side of ribs with The Wife and my best friends Barney and Betty.

typically friday night is date night but my wife has the flu or something she probably picked up in the hospital last week when we were there for the birth of grandchild #6 . so i was out driving around with the laptop in the car , with my right boot off and in the back seat so i did not keep knocking the AE generic connector out of the OBD2 DataLinkCconnector which is located right above the throttle pedal |

Congratulations on grandchild #6! I hope your wife gets better soon. Bootless, that's good. Err, ah, Barney and Betty's last name is Rubble.

right click on image , from the drop down , select view image to expand the image![]() it looks like i get about 1.5 mpg improvement just by removing the air filter snorkel at 37f only 2 passes in the same direction , with and without , should be more testing to confirm . that was just done tonight 30 minutes ago with the right boot off so i don't knock off the connector from the DLC |
