That i do not know, but if it dosen't have a harness to the radio i can most likely rig it with some schematics, and a soldering iron |

![]() I got these 2 units for $100 USD. I had been looking for a stereo and my local CarQuest had them on the shelf. CQ discontinued carrying them so he sold them to me below cost just to clear the shelf space. Now you know what we have to work with. They arenot powerful, or fancy, or IPOD ready, but they were cheap. And; I have had good luck with Audiovox in the past. |

RAMPAGE!!! yes my subwoofers are the knock off version of the Audiovox Rampage woofer... had a guy at a car show show up and showin off his system as was in the dodge we compared and they where the same. those woofers are 2 years old and still going strong so you should get some longevity out of that system

60 watts??? What the hell are the expecting you to do with them, put em in a geo metro or somethin??? Just kidding........ Yeah, I look for a minimun of 160 watts, then again, I like my mirrors to flex to the tunes. Nothing an amp and set of speakers cant fix. Thanks for posting that. I was a bit concern they were picknpull with some pripority connector if not a chip or security code. My hybrid has a radio code you need to use when its unpowered to work it again. My metro has a sony with detachable face plate. My dad made the mistake of pulling a autoban radio from the junkyard for a vw he owned and it never worked as he needed the bracket or connector to make it work cause of the security feature. |

O.K. here's what we're working with;![]() 1993 Metro dash. Unmolested OEM radio (inoperative) ![]() 1999 Buick dash big gaping hole wires everywhere, but none hooked to anything. glove box in back seat, speaker wiring ripped out speakers gone I can pull wiring diagrams or schematics from Mitchell if need be. However, I bought 50 feet of 12 gauge speaker wire just in case. and I keep wire and connectors in the house any way. |

No worries boss We can get er to look like it aint never been touched. ![]() UMMMM if its alright with you im gonna buy the stuff for the metro and leave the buick to when i get their.... that one looks more along the lines of "I gotta be thier to see what im working with" (BASICLY THAT CAR WAS EITHER ROBED OR GUTTED PRE SALE stuff might be missing) because i dont wanna buy what i dont need (LOOKS LIKE IT ALREADY HAS A DASH INSTALL KIT so it might still have the wire kit still hooked up.) but you might wanna pull the schematics from mitchell for the buick JUST IN CASE some wires are missing...Do you have a soldering iron or gun just in case some MAJOR wire rigging needs to be done? Also make shure you have a DVOM, (Whatever you call those things that read voltage) and a test light. their may be a reason why that radio in your Super Elastic Bubble Plastic dosn't work other than it just craping out. Oh Zip ties and Elec. tape... audio guys LOVE zip ties, and this one loves black tape. great for organizing wires. HEY those have Aux inputs on the face plate all you need is two 1/8" Double male end mini jack cords and you can plug your ipod in! we'll get er Edited by Potter, Oct 5 2009, 05:25 PM.

Until yesterday (when I removed the speakers) the radio in my Metro would play when it damn well felt like it. Sometimes the way I wanted, sometimes at full volume other times at almost no volume, all with no touchy on the knob from me. So I am relatively sure it is in the radio itself (cause a swift smack in the right area could turn it on or off) and not in the wiring to the radio. |

I got a wireless gun that needs lighter fluid, solder, tape vom, test light and zip ties. We may need 2 extra speakers for the metro and 2 mo for the buick. Heck, we may need to buy new speakers anyway as the kit may not fit. Pepboys, bestbuy has some decent ones like 50 bucks a pair. Loosk like a nice project to tackle. Then we can hit radio shack for the cables for the radios for ipods or some generic knock offs. Like potter said, you can get a male to male cable to hook anything to it. |

Sorry to hear that pot. I have a spare room if you can put up with me. I would love it if you can chip in some rent or something if you find a new job. Ive taken a 400 bucks a month hit and my metro seems to need more parts and work still. My bank is hiring, I will message you the link, but you need call center experience. Put your resume on monster.com careerbuilder.com and I can help if needed. VA Beach is booming, so if you can put up with Paul and stay with him, you can easily find a job there. Id love to visit crutchfield one day if not their annual show. Myself, I am worried about the buick, the metro is a piece of cake. He may just need new speakers on top of the ones he already has. I bring the old ones in the store with me and match up a new one or largest I can fit. |
