I was checking out some new seats at the local U-pull-it type joint earlier today. Found a few things that I think will mod in easily by the measurements, Saturn coupe seats seem like they'd be especially easy. I was thinking the seats from an SRT-4 would be pretty cherry, but might be a little too bulky to fit well. But enough of my aimless rambling, anyone out there have some modded/racing/other seats in the car to show off ? Love to see some pics or hear what other people did ....

I know metroshultz did a seat upgrade with his Metro, but it required a lot od grinding, welding, and some fabricating to make it work.

I have a recaro seat with bracket. I added some holes to mount it back another inch from stock and a stack of washer to rake it back an inch as well.

My setup uses a square frame that bolts tothe floor, then the seat tracks bolt to that, the seat bolts to the other side of the seat track.

Just measure the 4 points distance from each other and use that as a start.

If the stock seat is fine, you can always add more foam and air bladders for lumbar, sac, heat and cooling.

I installed the drivers seat out of my 89 conquest into my 96 metro. Like Johnny said, it took alot of grinding/ drilling and i had to mount brackets under the seat. I really like how it turned out, i sit lower and i can slide the seat back a little more, plus its black leather. B-)

I don't mind the cutting and grinding at all ! Just wondering what some others had done.... I think I'm going to try the SRT 4 seats, they're much more comfortable, and nice loking too ! Thanks for the advice !
