okay my car has a one liter its not built for speed i get that.... but how do i remove the limiter and how powerful can i make it with the stock engine? what cam grind would be best for performance? is there a header made for this engine? i don't have to worry about emissions where i live so how do i make this car stupid fast ? :hmm any help with all of my many questions would be appreciated

No point in removing the limiter, it's way above the point when the engine runs out of air anyway. There is no "best" cam, there are many different grinds and they all do different things better. Talk to Mike at 3Tech, he knows more about G10's than anyone. Yes, there is a header available from SuzukiRD. There is nothing having to do with emissions that will make a substantial performance gain. You can build a hot engine that will pass emissions pretty much as easily as not.

Expect to spend A LOT OF MONEY. You've got 55hp, somewhere around 100 is the most you could get out of a three cylinder, roughly 80hp being the highest reasonable for use on the street. There was a 79hp stock motor put in the same car after 1998, that would be a better starting point. There was also a 100hp motor in the Suzuki Swift from 89 - 94 that will bolt in fairly easily, it will go to 125 without doing anything crazy.

Any substantial increase in power should be preceded by improvements to the braking and suspension, it's all a package that needs to work together.

build a motor like mine and you can go as fast as you want ;)

mine made 130whp with 3 cracked pistons (found this out the other day, the guy I sold it to is putting better ones in anyways) at 19psi with a cracked intercooler and a cracked turbo manifold at the seam. so once we got that all fixed up and ran the same boost level, I would say there was a good 10% gain there fixing the leaks (still oblivious to the cracked piston skirts though), we ran 28psi up until the day a ring land cracked in three. it must have had near 180hp. I have a video somewhere Ive yet to upload.... not the greatest quality, but something like 80-200kmh took around 9-10 seconds. then again I spent lots of money on it and blew it up..... sooooo your call

that was a 1L motor using 75mm bores, and spinning to 8500rpm with headwork and 3tech's biggest cam and using a turbo off an eagle talon

dyno video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dy8gP63mKjk. the wastegate was completely disconnected and the max pressure it was able to make was 19psi. we had the wastegate connected through a boost controller and were able to get a few pulls of 28psi... unfortunately not on the dyno. you can hear the exhaust leak up until the turbo starts spooling too. I was surprised it still somehow made 130whp that time. this pull was 4th gear from approx 2000rpm to 7500rpm ~50kmh to passed 200

Good post Dallas. :thumb
The rev limiter in the ECM is around 7,000 rpm (?). Your max HP is at around 5,600 and then it drops off. Pretty high, eh. :D

To generalize... 3Tech has basically 3 cam grinds, "economy," 218/350 and 222/365 [Dallas edit: and 226/375 as the biggest]. For me it was like porage. Too cold, just right, too hot. Like Woodie says give him a ring.

Header... Suzuki Racing Development Header. And their Aluminum underpulley.

Add to the package some nice 8 or 9mm plug wires, remove the Cat., loose some weight, advance the timing, increase the elect. ground quality, yeda, yada, yada.

:hmm Well, if I was saying anyone was FAT (BTW I'm trying to loose weight ;) ) then I'm also suggesting 'upgrade the pace maker' or eat fiber(?), take some beano for gas, drink a liter of Mtn. Dew and be well grounded, yeda, yada, yada.' :lol :lol

Need to put a Geo on steroids to get muscle car power. :spaz :nfs
