thanx for the info. I did not chase the theads, but they did screw in with out resistance using my fingers. the torque sequence you describe is similar to what I did just not the specific ftlb settings and etc. I will sue your technique as it will be nice to have something in this eqaution that is "known to be good". I may put her back together this wknd so wish me luck. |

FWIW, I did run a head bolt down all the bolt holes and then blew them out with compressed air. I don't know if that did anything or not but I felt it would clean out the threads. |
