Just curious on the engine rebuild kits you guys have bought. I see that ebay and online sources has bunch of these kits for about 250-300$. Are they reliable? I came across a NPR kit, supposedly OE spec, but made in Taiwan. I don't really trust chinese parts. As for the head components, I'll get the 3tech head and cam..etc. And what about transmission rebuild kits on ebay? THANKS! |

I never had to purchase parts from E-bay, but I like quality parts. partsdinosaur.com has been a great source for Metro (Suzuki) engine parts. I have a local store which is an import warehouse store where engine parts are available. Most common parts are in stock, but I also order other parts from them. I like supporting local businesses. I bought my cams, valves, gears, head bolts, etc from 3Tech and they are superior parts at a great price. Other parts like seals, brake parts, etc I get from a local parts store and will even order parts from them if they are a day out. Just today I got.............. 2 Moog outer tie rod ends from Advance Auto Parts. Alternator belt from Napa (Goodyear belt). NGK spark plugs and a National cam seal from Auto Value. Note that I use quality parts. My cars are worth it. |

Thanks! Yea, I hear ya. Damn, I miss the goo ol midwest days Advanced Auto. Suck, in the west coast its only Pepboys, Kragens (O'Reilly's in the midwest), NAPA and AutoZone. I just replaced my belts w/ good year gatorbacks and my clutch w/ Exedy. Will do the NGK spark plugs today...=) I guess motor is next and transmission rebuild....=/ |
