Has anyone had to repair a valve for the 2nd time? It seems all of us have had to do it once. I am wondering how long will our repairs last. I think a very long time with the addition of advanced timing and cleaner egr system. Comments? :banana :banana :banana

Properly advanced timing and regular oil changes with 5W30 oil will help them last longer. Seafoam also keeps the carbon buildup under control.

Stainless steel valves from 3Tech is the way to fix it and forget it :thumb

Note: My wife's Metro has 3Tech stainless valves, but mine does not. 40K on my rebuild.

a 1994 suzuki swift 1.3 133k miles 2 burned valves or more likely sloppy valve guides coupled with burned valves
intake vacuum = 20.5" at hot idle
with 1/2" of flutter

over advanced base ignition timing will not enhance or extend valve life , just the opposite .
