Bought parts thru local machine shop that cleaned block and honed cylinders for me. All new valves, new rings (Nippon Ring Co.) Fel-Pro gaskets and headbolts(USA). I "recycled" the pistons and crank bearings(std. bore, "low-mileage" short-block) and even re-used the headgasket and headbolts after about 2000 miles when #3 piston skirt broke due to detonation. Good quality parts are often worth the extra money imo. |
