Guy seems pretty cool, I called him about it and he said it needs a valve. I hope to get matching Geo Metros! Coche Blanco and Coche Negro :)

Yes, that's snow in North Alabama :) It's a good day.

Buy it for $500, sink another $500 into it (if that) and you've got yourself a winner!

Personally, I steer away from postings that say they been into the engine and replaced this and that. I would rather buy one that noone has done a thing too. But thats just me. Hope it serves you well.

He said he has 3k miles on the work. I'm going to bring a compression tester and review it before I buy it.

Uh, i'm a senior in high school. He likes to "control" me since my parents are 'trying' to get divorced. (lol long story) He wants to be able to meter the amount of "stuff" I get.

Let me put it to you this way. I bought the following things completely with my own money from either mowing lawns, selling stuff on Craigslist, etc...

Xbox 360
Laptop
Netbook
Bicycle (400 dollars)
Geo Metro
Television
Goped (google them)
I could Google more stuff, but that's the main stuff.

He hasn't bought me anything. Yes, I know I shouldn't "ask" for stuff, but it would be nice if he helped me pay for some stuff. My sister on the other hand, she gets whatever she wants... I could type more, but you guys don't care. :)

We care, or we wouldn't have asked. Thanks for the explanation though, sorry to hear about the divorce.

Coche Blanco, I kind of feel your pain. Growing up as a disabled person my family just barely made it as I discovered after the fact. My dad supplemented his income with a few visa cards which he just made the min payment. He never had a plan to pay them and luckly got a early buyout from the gov under Clinton and paid them all off.

It use to piss me off to no end that he couldnt help me get anything disability related, yet alone regular stuff. We did not eat out. We did not have cable never had vacations and he worked 2 jobs most of the time. My mother worked one part time and the most we got was presents for b-days and xmas.

As I am an adult, howe owner I find its tough to pull more money out of thin air. I cant imagine dating or taking care of a child. I hope my mate would work and we split the bills. Then again lots of stuff in my life does not work out.

Now where do I find a Cougar to be her pet as she gives me blank checks?

lol @ cougar.

My dad makes plenty of money, that's the annoying part. For us to live, it cost about 1500 dollars, and he makes about double that. The bad part is, he blows it, at least I think he does. He said he puts "500" a month in the bank, but I doubt that. I haven't asked him where the other ~1000 goes.

I just checked on that car and it must have been sold, the add was pulled. :shake

My parents divorced when I was a senior in high school. I got my track bicycle by asking each for 1/2 the money. I had simple wants; gas for the van and money to race bicycles. They wanted me to get good grades and concentrate on my studies. Good grades = allowance. However, I'm an only child. No competition. I was not as confident as you are and a bit confused so I joined the Navy. I got out and started Jr. College and working temp drafting jobs.

I think my parents wanted me to be responsible. I never got it. Still, you might try suggesting to Dad that you "want to learn responsibility by getting a job, making money and saving some - like he does." Parents usually eat this stuff up. Just be sure it's true and it sounds like that's what you really want to do. :thumb

Could try blackmailing your sister. B-) ...And this is why I never had my own kids. :shake
