You will need parts 10, 11, and 12

Check the wiring first before replacing the part.

Yes, especially in the cold weather. I would check a few junkyards like Jay's Auto Wrecking, Patterson's, or Community. I would get the whole throttle body unit just in case you need an injector or some other part in the future.

Maybe you could bring that Geo to my house 40 minutes away and I could give it a checkup.

for the time being you could probably solder in a light bulb across the connection to the heater in the spacer plate
the PCM will see a complete circuit and the CEL will remain out when cleared .

then you can hunt around for the part
and still use your car

it probably is not functional when the engine is hot anyway

If there isn't a source for those gaskets you may have to do it the old fashioned way... make them. If you are careful when removing them you can use them as a template. Check in you local parts store for "gasket paper" or "gasket sheet" or if they still stare at your like you've got 3 heads... tell them you need to cut a gasket to replace one that isn't made anymore.

This one should be pretty easy as there isn't any fluids being transferred through the gasket. Just trace the old gasket onto the sheet and then cut it out. A hobby knife (thin blade that tapers to a point and mounts in a solid handle, look in the plastic model section of a store) will be much easier than scissors or a razor blade. Replace the gaskets and enjoy!
