When i put in my new radio i did have to go back and tighen somethings but i cant get some stations any more
so i figure the antenna cord wire that sticks into the radio is the prob.

it snaped so i replaced w/ a wire brush bristle i ll try copper later bye

I know it's a stretch, but having the distributor cap "clocked" wrong will cause "rfi" (radio frequency interference). I ran into this recently because of engine problems(broken pistons) AND poor radio reception. After 2 broken pistons in 2 completely different motors (except for the distributor, cap&rotor, and wires), i found the cap was on wrong. This may not be your problem, but when i finally discovered mine was on incorrectly, my radio reception IMMEDIATLY improved. No more broken pistons, even after some ice racing a couple of weeks ago. Just sayin

i am hooking up three extra speakers in the back of my car and was wondering

if just splicing the wires from the back two speakers and

the three new ones would be ok to do. I was also wondering if my car has enough power to do so properly.i think two of the new ones

are 8 ohms and one is ten

what kind of deck are you running? if its a aftermarket one like the one you have posted a pic of in one f ur other threads then that deck aka the majority of aftermarket decks actually has an output on the backside of it for two more speakers. as far as the third ten ohms speaker... i've never heard of any speakers other than 4/8 ohms..

i have successfully installed all of the speakers. i put 4 in they are the speakers out of a 01 cavalier.

my geo isnt like the ones guys loud geo build up here but it is definatly loud enough. :rocker

i spliced the wires that run to the stock geo speakers w/ these new ones and wrapped w/ electrical tape. im in the process of making a shelf to hold the speakers up. :shake

my tool box and other scatterd items hold the thing from sliding back and forth.

i have a plan for that too.

any body know how good the quality of the speakers at advance auto are? i need some new ones and there are some at

advance auto that look pretty close to the stock speakers but i think they are probably just junk.

they are about $16. i think.

If they're $16, then they are junk. Decent speakers start at about $50 a pair, good ones are $100.

I did not know advance auto sold speakers. I recommend going to best buy or somewhere to hear a range of speakers and brands, then shop from that point. Myself, I like the sound of kenwood.

I did not know advance auto sold speakers.
They got out selling audio stuff a few years back, then recently they started selling Dual brand and now even some Pioneer. They have el cheapo and ok head units and speakers. I refuse shop there anymore ( unless I was broke down in the middle of nowhere and :shit Advance :shit had the part to get me going, then maybe :banghead ).

Nick glad you got some tunes now. :rocker
