Since this is the lounge. I will ask my question here. Does anyone know a good flash killing program? I used to have a good one but I seem to have misplaced it.

Go to the main portal on my site and on the right, click the firefox link. After installing FireFox browser, get the "AdBlock Plus" addon and you will never see another add again. I have not seen an add in 5 years :deal

Google Chrome is a pretty cool Browser too! and it uses less computer resources than IE.

I ran a test on IE7, FF3, Opera and Chrome to see witch one was faster. Chrome was fastest, then FF3, then Opera and the slowest was IE7. The test was to see witch browser had the quickest times opening flash, java, html, php and even an internet speed test. :)

oops, I didn't realize how old this thread was lol

I use Google Chrome as a browser and haven't found anything to toggle flash on and off yet. When I used IE, I used a program called 'noflash' and you could enable and disable it from the toolbar.
All in all, I still think Flash is the bane of the internet. It sucks up so much horsepower and bandwidth for senseless animations and effects. But more and more sites use it and most don't even give you a choice for a fast page.
