Metro convertible turbo; Injectors not functioning

Have fitted an '88 turbo to a '92 convertible. Car doesn't start. There is spark, fuel pressure at injector rail, power to the injectors (White/blue), but no signal from ECM (Blue). I suspect my ignorance of the igniter's function is the problem: I didn't transfer it from donor car.

Can you help (Is this enough information?).

Sincerely,
Wimsey

Duct tape heals all wounds

Sounds like a neat project, I'm sure some one will come along that knows, possibly Dallas or Starscream.

assuming you swapped the harness and ECM PCM from the 1988 donor to the newer victim car ?

if yes

see the how to section
regarding the testing of the CKP CMP

what test equipment do you have ?

Got 70 MPG?

I don't know much about these turbo geos, but it sounds like your problem is more rudimentary. Do you have everything grounded? Is there a ground wire on the bottom of the turbo manifold like there is with the N/A ones?

Thanks for the swift replies.

Mwebb: Regarding wiring, I pulled the entire loom from the donor car. It's having to blend the two looms that's taken the time.
I have the most primitive testing equipment - a multimeter and a circuit-test lamp.
I'll check the tech. site referred to.

Starscream: The ECM is grounded (Black/blue and Black/green, I think) to the injection block. My ignorance is appalling: what does N/A refer to? The diagrams give N/A as the code for the O2 sensor wire.
Does either of you know what actual colour code is used?

Cheers.

Wimsey

N/A = Not Available

but
the color is white and it is inside a shielded cable , the 02 sensor signal wire is black

the car has a separate Ignition control with an EST out put to the Fuel ECM
the distributor has only 1 speed sensor , a CMP , AC signal generator

the Fuel ECM knows engine RPM from the EST signal and
MAY have some control of Ignition timing - IF it behaves like other GM systems of that time period .

the system uses a KNOCK sensor
the system uses a KNOCK sensor
the system uses a KNOCK sensor
the system uses a KNOCK sensor
the system uses a KNOCK sensor

this is a good thing -
if you abandon the project ....
not that i am steering you in that direction ...,
i would be interested in purchasing the harness and controllers and intake manifold with all the related parts .....

provide an Email address and i can Email real wiring diagrams
they will be white on a black back ground
if you want

Actually, in my case I was meaning "Naturally Aspirated". Sorry for the confusion.
