I finnished rebuilding my 97 G 10 motor. Runs great. Only one problem. I have one valve that ticks loudly after the motor warms up. I spent a bunch of money and time to make this perfect. I bought all new lifters and my cam is perfect. Im useing 10/30 oil for a while till its broke in. Is there a way that I can figure out which lifter it is making the noise so I can take it out and fix it...Help my Im going crazy.....Dan out.

you should be using

5w30 ACEA A3 B3 - B4 synthetic oil
minimum .

do not use any 10w30 ever in a 10G engine

Got 70 MPG?

No!

Do not use synthetic oil on a break-in unless you like for new motors to smoke and burn oil.

You need to seat the piston rings. Leave what you have in there for your break-in (at least 1500 miles).

I could drop my viscosity down to 5/20...Does that sound like a good idea?

5W20 is fine for the application.
