Is there other gasket alternatives for the throttle body such as "The Right Stuff" gasket maker? I was able to get the mounting TB gasket at my local shop but there is another gasket in the TB which had to be replaced but was not available (it will take days to get it after ordering it, and it will cost about $23, but it will come with other gaskets as well). I used the gasket maker before mentioned instead but now I'm getting very high idle and surging problems (I had high idle before this, no surging). Was it a bad idea to use this product on the TB? (it was intended to be temporary). I'm sure I have no other vacuum leaks, so this could be the only thing I think is causing it. What about gasket material? Has anyone tried this? |

Use a ceral box cut out to the right shape with either a copper gasket spray on both sides of the home made gasket, or Permatex Brake quiet. Either will do the job for you.

the "right stuff" is soluble in fuel and not a good choice as the throttle body is exposed to fuel , atomized fuel but still fuel from the single injector squirting into the throttle body |

I might have a few of these leftover from my head gasket kits. Where are you located? |

Ok, I am going to need 2 gaskets that go to my throttle body assembly. I need to know what this is though, anyone know? This goes in between the throttle body and the intake manifold. Part number on it is Denso 069000-0060. It has a gasket on top of it and under it and i need both of them. I ordered the full APEX rebuild gasket kit from parts dinosaur and these 2 gaskets didnt come in the kit. Edited by obaja, Jun 24 2010, 10:11 PM.

It's a heater, helps gas vaporize and mix with the air until the engine warms up. |

your local parts store should be able to get the gaskets you need. Mine can. Or you can make them from gasket material. It comes in wide sheets or a roll. Available any parts store. |
