94 metro seems to idle high.

i never really thought about it cause i never had a 3 cyl.


but when my car is on , in N , the car shakes pretty bad.

ill have my hand on shifter and it shakes me pretty well

dont know why dont know how to fix , any thoughts?

Check and replace as necessary:
spark plugs (replace w/ regular ngks)
spark plug wires
distributor cap and rotor button

also lift the air filter cover and check the IAT (intake air temp sensor) to see if it is dirty or plugged in or just plain missing. Its a brass knob about an inch long towards the back of the filter plate.

there are two rubber hoses on the passenger side of the throttle body that supply coolant to the throttle body, let the car come up to temps and see if they're warm. if they are not take them off and clean them out or replace them.


I'm in the same boat as you and have done all of this so far and my car is now running quite well, but I do need to source a new IAT as mine seems to be non-functioning.

If I thought my 94 was shaking, as opposed to normal vibration, I'd doublecheck the engine mounts as well as what's suggested above.

did this , one is kindy loosy

might be the problem , should get it fixxed sooner or later thanks
