Just replaced my timing belt and had the head repaired but can't get it to start. Haynes manual is vague on how to do it. My question is what position should the camshaft be in? I put the 1st cylinder closest to the belt at TDC. Now where should th cam be? Just opening the exhaust valve or just getting ready to open the intake valve? I think i'm 180 out. I put the little dowel on the end of the cam at like the 5oclock position and had the A on the camshaft sprocket pointing straight down to the mark's on the crank and block? What did i do wrong? Please help! |
