Hello Everyone! I got a new fuse box, I havent fixed the headlights yet, but everything else works now. My AC works really well. I was actually pretty cold for a bit.  Installed a green light for my second lisence plate light. Found a CUP HOLDER piece at the salvage yard. I changed the transmissio oil. It wasnt too bad, but deff. not the sycromesh stuff. Its still having trouble getting into 1st an 2nd. Any Ideas? We also cut the exhaust off right after the dual glass pack. Its now straight. We checked with a few cops and they said that a glass pack would for as a muffler, expecially since the car is so small. Is so loud now its amazing! Ok so Im getting tired of no radio. I'm a very musical person and it helps me relax when im driving 100 to 300 miles per day. (I also play Trumpet, Trombone, some piano, and fugle horn...mostly jazz) I conneced all the wiring and the radio turnes on (its alive!) but no sound was coming out. I was like hmm ok... I did some research and the ATT was on. I found that by disconnecting the cars "mute" wire it turnes off the ATT, but still no sound. I thought, ok the wiring to the speakers is shot, no big deal I'll just wire one right into the sterio for testing purposes. I tried to connect my speakers to every port. I eventually connected all of the wires to the speaker. (so that front left, front right, back left, back right all went to one speaker) and still nothing!  I decided to check my speakers. I took them inside and connected them to my home stero. They worked fine! Loud and everything, not a single problem. But I cant figure out why the car wont play anything. I even went so far as to try the radio, the cd drive, and the aux in and none will make noise. The radio is also suppost to beep when you press certain buttons and it wont even do that. Any ideas? Invited a geo that parked infront of me at school to the forms via note on the window changed the spark plugs...wow it needed it. They had white tips and looked horrible... Ive decided to go with a Zelda Theme N64 version. But I need a name for the car. Maybe Shelia off of Red Vs Blue? (the tank lol) I have a dog named Caboose and it would kinda fit. Basics for both: Zelda: Green Link (your ch) on driver side Zelda on passenger Tri-Force on Hood Weapons around Tri-Force Sheik on back somehow... This would all be hand painted by meh. Yesterdays 120 MILE TRIP GAVE ME 47MPG! 47 mpg with 2 people about 320 pounds 4 baskets of laundry heavy stereo in back spare tire jack few tools and bad spark plugs (resolved it on March - 3rd - 2010 And its kind of cold today :3 yay! My goal was 45 to start out with! Heres my little geo metro project. I wish I had some old photos. I took these with my phone. That purple glow is actually purple. Its mounted under my dash. Yes those are big penguin seat covers Ive painted the drives door, the shifter cover, and the emergency brake cover black with vynal paint.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's some more pictures I took while I was bored. Stick  Ipod and Ihome so i have some tunes  Ducktaped window to keep air/rainout  Hard to see but painted door black.  I promise I'll get better pics soon. Im just not usually up during the day Heres a list of my Geo metros Pro's: -Purple Neon (I installed) -Great MPG -New Black Carpet -Cherry Bomb Exhaust -Pegwin seat covers -blue/black back seat cover -Aftermarket Projection lights -2 new tires -Engine Rebuilt 9,000 miles ago Cons or my to do list: -NO splash Guard (gonna install one this weekend) -Headlight Problem -Need 2 new tires -Interior roof has small hole (HUNG A PIC OF A CAT JUMPIN OUT OF IT. FIXEDISH) -Cant get aftermarket rear view mirror to stick on right (PUT STOCK BACK ON) -Really want it to be painted Blue or Black or Purple -Need dash cover that goes around air vents -Need Radio -Need to fix radio wiring -Wiper Blade Handles have Rust -Trunk props dont work, using shovel handle -Some rubber thing in the left right side makes the car very loud -Need to patch small exhaust leak (no biggie) -Pain to make it go into 1st or 2nd when not at complete stop (Trans fluid change should fix this) -Want to make interrior lights white not green -want to smoke turn signals and tail lights (very light though!)  Well this looks like a fun one to follow. Nice ride.  Interesting hubcap color. Looks like you've got a decent to-do list going. And, before Bad Bent beats me to it, what's the mileage and compression?

Ehh...I'll get around to it eventually. I have more pressing stuff to do to it right now. I do 15 hours of college a week and I also have a few jobs going on so time for my car is sadly limited. |

My geo has a glass pack or a cherry bomb on it. How do I know which it has? The end of the exhaust also has a reqular muffler. Why would the previous owner bother putting a reg. exhaust on a car after putting a glass/cherry thing on it? Can I take the muffler off? Can I put a tip from Oreillys on it and it be legal...ish? On my way to school the following events occurred lolz: It was red vs blue this morning on the way to school. As I narrowed upon my fellow geo meto (hes blue) I knew he was trouble. Both engines roared as only a 3cl can and the race was off. 70mph...then 73...and eventually we both made it up to light speed (or 80mph) We weved in and out of traffic with percision and accuracy only known to the geos, our signals flashing a bright yellow. In the end I was the victor only to find a white geo metro...who gave up at the sheer might of my ride. His geo had a awsome bra on it. Ive been plannin on making one out of gorilla tape. (blocks off air dam and helps aerodynamics). He mounted truck lights at the bottom and it came out spectular. I think he used that anti weed growing fabric. Like for gardening. Would make a great substitue for gorilla tape over a wider surface. |

"15 hours of college a week" So what are you going to be if you grow up?  Cherry Bomb is a brand name of a glasspack. Cherry Bombs are painted bright red. I have a Jones. Glasspacks are used as a resonator and installed in-line between the Catalytic Converter and muffler, under the passenger seat. It is for sound control. My '91 doesn't have one, the '96 does. You can remove the resonator if you wish, depending on your state emission laws and if the exhaust needs to be stock for inspection. A muffler tip is not a legal issue, I put one on to get the sound waves out beyond the bumper. It's chrome bling also.  You could probably remove the muffler but why not replace it with a glasspack just to be legal? Loud, but legal. I presume it kept a little of my back pressure which is a good thing. I kept the 1.5" stock plumbing from the Cat. to the glasspack for back pressure. If you need video click on Bad Bent's Loud Geo.  ...and Exhaust Sound.Great story! LMAO

I already have one in the middle. On a side note. I dont know what I want to be when I "grow up" I really want to do something with my hands like a tech thing...but my parents have other ideas. Maybe something with green energy? Im great at following directions and making something work...im just worried about what happens when im old and all I know is how to fix cars or something but im too old to do anything? If any of you out there have any suggestions I'll take any advice I can have out there. Right now im launching a ebay store that sells shoes. I have a supplyer and my job is to sell the shoes and move product. I dont even see it. I also buy broken xbox 360's and sell them for profit. Thats on the side of helping keep all of my friends and familys cars and houses running. I know how to rebuild a house and all of that too. I have a pretty wide spectrum of skills and I just dont know what direction to take.
