Picking up 2 91 3/5 metros tomorrow for $750. The one on the left is semi-driveable. (compression #1 =180 D) and 2nd is a parts car.

The owner had the first car listed on CL for $650, but I saw the spare out back.... getting both for $750.

This is you, so you must be online

Don't look now but the person in that photo doesn't have a face. I'm pretty sure this is how horror movies get started! :oshit

Well, we got the 2 cars moved today. The blue one's tires wouldn't turn. It took a come-along and 3 guys to get it onto a low trailer, and a skidsteer to lift it off. Meanwhile, I drove the light green one. Brakes are virtually non-existent. There is a sort of hot smell like the brakes are stuck. I drove with the rear windows open, because the front ones have the dreaded won't-roll-down-and-up-correctly thing. The exhaust needs work.
We picked up the supplies to do the basic maintenance tomorrow and will check the brakes. I was hoping the spare car (which turns out to be a 92) would supply the brakes, but evidently someone may have gotten into it already and robbed the parts. We'll find out tomorrow.
Per Bad Bent's Harbor Freight shopping list (well that was a fun first time trip for me), I have some testing equipment. I'm not sure that a 91 can do the wave form stuff webb posts, but I will do what I can with the stuff I've gotten.
Bogs, it seems like it should be open season on naming Dan's new car, since he named Jittney.

The wife has dibs on "Teeny little supercar" and the daughter claims "jellybean". Better claim one fast - your options are narrowing...

HELP! Front brake will not reassemble. The rotor and hub will not go on all the way, and persistent pressure forces the rear bearing and seal to move. It was a bugger to get the extremely rusty rotor and hub off. They came off together and were separated and the hub was cleaned and painted black (but not on the inside where it mounts) and bolted onto the new rotor. We checked JM's front brake how to thread, but it just says 'after putting the rotor back on....' and doesn't indicate any problems. What's the trick for getting it back together without ruining the bearing and the race?

On a side note, the TBI cover unit on the good car was broken. It looks like the PO was unaware that the air filter goes in a certain way. The whole unit was beaten into submission to the point that every plastic piece on it was broken or cracked, plus parts were missing. It was a nice putter project to use the parts from the spare car to make a whole clean unit.
