Dang, $75. Junkyards usually give you more money for a vehicle than that! Someone must have really wanted it gone, lol. |

Congrats Wiki on getting it ! That looks a lot nicer than what I was envisioning when you were talking about it sweet looking ![]() That inside suggests 'power washer' ! but, from the change I see on the back mat, you might have gotten it for less than 75. ! BOOYAH

Don't mind me asking, but what are the mechanical issues with the car? Can it be fixed? The exterior (at least from the pictures) looks pretty good and solid. Can you drop a 3cyl in that bad boy and keep it on the road? |

wow! seriously growing penicilin in that thing! it amazes me how people live with and drive a vehicle that freakin dirty. but ignoring that, the rest of the car looks salvageable. probably got some engine issues with the 20w oil in it. but hey, the price was right. |

Yah sure the inside is ugly, but I'd have paid twice that much even so. I've cleaned far worse out in some of the trades I've done

Well, congrats on the new toy!! To bad you can't put it on a rotisserie, turn it over and get all that out of there. I used a shop vac and Simple Green to get rid of the smell.Good luck!

So it turns out the kid I bought it from is 19, and a bigger idiot than I thought. Last night I found in the glove box two debit cards, a temporary drivers licence, and a citation for not wearing a seatbelt. The car had been for sale at $175 for over a month now, and when I called him he was desperate to get rid of it. It was parked on his step-dad's property, who was about to have it towed to the scrapper. In hind sight I should have offered him $20 for the car, he jumped at my low-ball offer to quickly.
Not here. There are enough free cars coming into the local parts yards that no one pays anything.
Yup, but I don't know what yet. Are there any parts that people are looking for?
Nope, drums that required a bit of persuasion with a sledge hammer to get unstuck.
The body is in fantastic shape. The interior should be incinerated, but I'll have to stick with a shop vac, a few litres of spray nine, and a respirator.
Great van, terribly built. That is my mom's van, which needs all of the shift bands replaced, and a new oil pan gasket. It only has 160K km. Shop time for a new oil pan gasket: 6hrs ![]()
Engine won't start. No compression in cyl #2. I bought it so I could have a spare engine to rebuild and have ready to drop into my firefly. No idea on the condition of the trans, or anything else. |

The only problem with mine was the dang transmission, it would have take 3k or something to fix/rebuild the old one. |

Well you can't buy much for $75 bucks theses days so it sure sounds like a good deal to me. Good Luck on your project! |
