A little update:
I did some basic clean up of the interior. Removed 1 1/2 large bags of garbage. I was removing peach cigarillos by the (gloved) handful. Found a rotting bag of tater tots under the drivers seat, and under the passenger's foot mat were probably a dozen dead maggots. Sprayed everything with Spray Nine to do some disinfecting and cut down on the smell.

I do have good news too. In amongst all that filth was $13.14 in change. The alternator I've discovered is a nearly new Bosch AL4501X that's still shiny and clean. Rock auto price: $113.79.

Whoa, now THAT is nice to hear :thumb
So, after a little math, we have a purchase price of $75. - $13.14 which equals $61.86 for the car, minus a $113.79 part that you may or may not have needed, it looks like you made $51.93 buying this car :lol

Can I clean out the next used car you buy? :lol :lol :lol

Did it come with an Asian lady in the trunk to meet your every desire?

Good deal on the dang car.

No, just a single shoe and a box of melted chocolates.

So it's been a month now and I have an update. Rather than using the car for parts, I've decided to completely restore it. I have removed the engine and dissembled it completely. The block is on the stand waiting for other parts to be cleaned. Meanwhile I've been gutting the interior since it was so disgusting.

Here is the motor before being pulled:

Here is the interior condition when I bought it:

Here are some of the rear panels, and the seats, removed:

And then the carpet came out, and got washed. After three hours of shampooing, pressure washing, and shop-vacuuming this is the result:

Here's the interior now, as I start to remove the dash:

There's more pics, and these ones in full size, on my flickr.

Wow dude! No wonder the car was only $75.00. I would be ashamed if the inside of my car looked like that. Glad you decided to restore it :thumb

The interior is rust free. The exterior has some surface rust in some places of the body, nowhere serious.
