Yes, but the car will not increase the idle by itself anymore, just watch for it so it doesn't stall occasionally.

Okay, I can deal with that.

The DIY cruise control is more difficult than I imagined. I can't find a mounting point that I like for my cable. In other news, I'm picking up a XFi engine transmission tomorrow. It has 200k miles on the clock but i'm going to rebuild that engine while I drive "The White One" and then swap them. It's supposed to have a new clutch too...for the price i'm paying I should make out like a bandit. *knocks on wood*

I should be getting a 96 2 door later in the week if that guy comes though, it's not looking good though.

What cruise unit are you installing?!??!?!

I've got two metro's with cruise - one I just bought as a parts car, and the cruise is hooked up, but the controller is mangled (it fell into the front of the engine while running apparently), and the other is one I installed but could never get to function...

The parts car metro is linked to the gas pedal through the fire wall, and the one I installed has a custom mount I made. I'll try to snap some pics for you.

Mine is just going to be a bicycle cable with a gear shifter from a bike that controls the throttle. :)

I put a bracket under the bolt holding the original cable onto the TB, its hooked to the end of the original throttle cable by a little loop that goes around the end of the cable and runs parallel in the groove of the throttle cable channel.

I'm disassembling the XFI engine as we speak, I will be using it as my new engine and rebuild it while still driving "The White One"

So now for the decisions. Do I sell the used LSi engine? Do I sell the XFi engine/trans? Or, do I make mine an XFi and sell my Base engine/trans? XFi=200k Base=240k

Should have heard us out there, haha. Well we got them pulled apart. I'm looking to sell both blocks, and heads. I will get Johnny to inspect them up at Palooza and see what he thinks should be done. Unless you guys can give me a guess from the pics i've put up here.

Looks like fun!

Engines... Not a clue. I have two engines sitting in my garage I should unload also. I'd consider doing it for shipping but I like the idea of having spare parts around. We are moving to another big house so I get to keep all my junk.
Whoopee. :banghead
