No improvements so far. Rebuild is still in the works, just as soon as I get a job. Drove my truck 240ish miles this week to move some "stuff" too bad it all would have fit in the Geo. (thanks mom! haha) 12 gallons of gas later, I know not to make that mistake again.

I'm now looking for an XFi transmission, i've decided to go ahead and make this the MPG machine it needs to be. :)

Thought you didn't like the eco cam? The performance only gets worse with an XFI tranny.....

Updates updates updates.

The reason I couldn't get my timing belt tight is because the "tab" broke off on the tensioner. Stole one off of my spare engine...tight.

Whirring noise, bad alternator bearing. (going bad) Solved by loosening belt, squeels a little when I first start (2 seconds max) after it has been sitting for 2+days.

I sold the XFi transmission for 225, and still have a few hundred dollars worth of parts, so I'm good in that neighborhood. The bottom ends are not selling, nor are the heads or that XFi cam. (I can hold on to it till 4 dollar gas)

My oil burning is from bad rings or valve guides, the crank/cam seals are not a hard job to replace...if you think they're leaking replace them, be sure to coat the outer races in RTV type stuff.

I need to get a hold of Z34 and get him to get me some 7 series headlights, so I can make my own projector headlights.

I still have a steering problem, it will turn right easier than it does left...no one else seems to have this problem so I may have just bent something.

Bigger rims are in my future, along with tires to make the ratio equivalent of 3.79 with 155/80/13 tires.

Under drive pulleys...are getting sorted out. PM me if you want one.

you did not include the machine shop charge to bore the block .020 over
if you choose that path ...

and
since you did not like the XFi cam , you should probably go for a stock G10 arrangment

Push button start is simple, with the key in the "on" position, or another switch that goes to the wiring for the ignition to keep the system on, all you need to do is run a wire from the battery, through the switch, then to the small wire on the starter. Hold the button down till the car starts, then let go.

I really want a wireless key like the new Challengers use. I just have to have the car close to the car for it to start....but "'The White One" is on hold at the moment.
