I towed a car with a seat belt cut out of and old car, it was about 15 feet long, a little close, but only had to go two miles.
Pull two or three engine out side with and engine tree puller. Cut three 12 to 14 feet trees about 6 inch round, run tow chain around one end about foot back used and made a tripod, run a come along, worked great pulled Chevy 350.

found the reason why the blower fan in the metro quit working. the brushes wore out. i was planning on using some lead sinkers cut down to fit in the slots to replace worn out brushes (free fix). but my brother informed me the brushes are not lead, they are graphite. lead would just melt when hot. dang. now have to spend money on it.

Diesel Power

was using a ball pen hammer to put ripper teeth on a gannon box on a skiploader. Was using the torch to heat them up then use the ball pen in the hole and hit the other end of the ball pen with a big hammer. well after the ball pen hammer head heated up it heated the fiberglass handle with it and soon enough the hole handle came off. So i was doing head gaskets on a 6.0 litre ford powerstroke and the old headbolts were lying on the floor, so i though, HEY! That would make a good handle. Welded the head bolt to the ball pen hammerhead and still use it to this day.

i have a junk hammer i keep around just to poke holes in oil filters (to get rid of them). the wood handle came off, because it was a dollar store hammer. i had an old 3/8 extension laying around, stuck the square end into the hammer head, drilled a hole thru both pieces and put a cotter pin in. still using the hammer. poking a hole in the filter on a diesel makes it much easier and cleaner when changing oil (fyi).

I hear ya. i even do that on other engines that are hard to get your hands in there and poking a hole in the bottom of the filter is a very good idea

Memphis metro

I rode up to the country a couple of counties away from Memphis a couple of weeks ago. To Mcnairy county Tn. Home of Sheriff Bufford Pusser. My grandfather lived there when I was growing up. I had a friend who lived about as far out in the sticks as you could get. His place was about two miles off the main road and the road in dead ended into his place and surrounded by miles of timber land. I used to hunt on his place. What a peaceful place it is. No sound of vehicles or much of anything but a occasional train passing in the far distance. I took a picture of the place he lived in. A old corn crib. He is dead and gone now, I sure do miss him. I remember he had a old truck with a bumper sticker that said (some like it wild). He was country and so am I!

If thats the case, doc you might want to disable the analytics part on it, it was a pretty long wait :)

I think the google anal thing is built into the zeta board. I have not signed up for it myself. It was a pretty good size picture but it loads pretty well on my computer.

This is one of the few times I've seen it, I certainly don't see it on every thread, it was just weird enough to mention because of the amount of time it took the thread to load.

Bogs - look at the bottom of your page

That's "Ads by Google", and Google Analytics decides which ads to place there.
