Blimey guys that was quick, ive just gone back in to edit it again and noticed both of you had posted! Your comments as always are very kind and greatly appreciated :D

I have been meaning to get the video done for ages but you know whats its like things just get in the way!! :beer

Since the last section of video I have run the accelerator cable (all 4 metres of it) and installed the fuse box and most of the cables into the dash pod - and oh what fun it was sorting out the correct cables for the warning lights!! but its done now

The next video should see the alloy firewall in place around the tank and the tank operational with the alloy wing tip style (similar anyway) filler cap on the outer edge of the bodywork

Thanks again

Is there life beyond the forum? I don't think so. :-/

Thanks for the video. Have you done any waterproofing of the electronics and wiring?
I watched the movie The Gumball Rally (1976) and the 1974 Jaguar XK-E won't start. :lol One driver says "Maybe it's humidity?" the other "England is humid." Great car movie.

I don't do lagers or alcohol so I have to "suffer" :D :banana

Got 70 MPG?

Great job so far, I don't doubt this will end up being one of the better machines built on this forum!

Hey thanks everyone to answer a few questions - i have waterproofed the engine bay loom and I will be waterproofing the dashboard where all the other bits that dont like water live but I still have quite a bit of wiring to do in the dashboard. its not actually driveable yet, I will be ordering the new disks and pads next week and plumbing it all in over the next few weeks - I want it driveable by the end of the year if at all possible.

Oh and Gumball rally - Awesome!! ^o)

Marcusw - Thanks for the comments, I have got the accelerator sorted cable in and working now, I have ordered the disks and pads to finish the braking system and on Friday I picked up all the alloy for the fuel tank firewall - so its taking shape!!

New big shiney round "Bits that make you stop" turned up today - and they looked so nice I took a picture! :drool

I found a company who make up the discs and grooved and drilled were standard!! so I have the standard vented front discs for the 1.0 metro/swift on the front and the 1.3 gti metro/swift rear solid discs on the other front hubs that are on the rear of the buggy - if you get what I mean :hmm

Nice bling! :thumb

I have a pair of those. Excellent stopping power. :) True they may wear pads faster but it's nice knowing they won't fade if I have to abuse them.
