Another quick update from this weekend, finally got the pedal assembly designed and started cutting out the pedals, so here are a few progress shots:

Blanks rough cut-

Blanks drilled and cleaned up:

And finally welded together;

Just need to weld the spindle tubes into the top of each and add the foot pedal mount at the bottom of each now and crack on with rest of the assembly

Are you using any sort of plans or just doing it in your head?

Thanks Guys, rmcelwee I suppose its a bit of both, I have built all the parts on my cad cam package before I cut anything, less mistakes that way as I can ensure everything fits together before actually cutting any metal!

Finally got chance to finish off the pedal assembly this weekend, had to scrap the backplate i originally did as the two master cylinders for the brake were set at what I thought was the correct width but after assembly and testing the balance bar kept locking / binding so off came the plate and a new one made and everything welded back together.

This is what it looks like now with spring return bar and pedal stop in place-

And finally hung in the buggy - its a snug fit

Next thing to sort is the Exhaust system!!

A quick update, just about to start on the custom manifold, finished it in the design software so thought I would post a render of what its going to look like!

Manifold with 3 into 1 merge collector attached and :-

with it removed!

I was trying to keep the primaries all the same length to the 3 into 1 merge collector but the 3 cylinder was just getting too complex so will have to give this a try and see how it goes, the merge collector is attached to the triangular mounting flange just to make it a little easier to build
Now all I have to do is build it!! ;)

Offthehook900 - You are correct that render is from Solid Works

Bogs - I use Solid Works to generate the working models and drawings - I also export the models to Max for animation (Side project)

Thanks for the comments - all I have to do is build it now :D
