Mr Murf 59 - Thanks ! much appreciated, I probably spend too much time on each part but I find it so satisfying when I get each part to the level I want it !! :hmm

There is no such thing as spending too much time on a part if you want it to last and function well :thumb

A picture says a thousand words, but a video clip is much better. Awesome project. The exhaust manifold is incredible. I bet you can't wait to have some fun when it's all done. The challenge will be keeping it all shiny over the years. :thumb

Well it was sunny this weekend so I thought I would push the buggy back out of the garage and take a few shots, not as much done recently as I would have liked but made the roof mounted spare wheel carrier, the lap bar, fitted (and modded) the column switch gear, and finished the exhaust off!

I plan to get the engine running this coming weekend and I will post another video of it running ! (All being well)

Anyway here is how she looks at the moment-

Delusionally qualified

450 kg = 992 lbs for bloody Yanks on the other side of the pond.

That car looks outstanding, bang-up, bully, corking, cracking, dandy, groovy, keen, neat, nifty, peachy, slap-up, swell, smashing, capital, majuscule, enchanting! I cannot wait to see a video of the completed project!

wow, that is some coolness there... a lot of fabricating work thats for sure... thing is that i don't see 950 pounds, i was thinking half that or less... so, where is all the weight?... what was the wall thickness on the tubing?

nice project and nice work

100MPG - thanks for the comments, The tube is 32mm Diameter (1.25") wall thickness is 2mm and there is 280 foot of tube in the frame, I am estimating the all up weight at 450kg as I have not been able to get it to a weigh bridge recently - last time it came out at approx 370kg but I still had a lot to do on it some 450 sounds about right, but I wont know for sure until I get it finished.

Cheers
