Hey everyone! I guess you can say im the Noob to this forum, but i had to join the sight because i recently was given a white, '94 Geo Metro from my father which was his fathers car. So the car has been in the family for quite some time. The car has some minor cosmetic damage but i plan to get started on it very soon. Yesterday i got the windows tinted, because ive been fish bowling for quite some time now and i couldnt stand people staring right at me....lol. I got 15% all around and i got 40% on the front windshield. Within the next couple of weeks i plan to do the following:

1. Install NEW seats.
2. Install NEW Wheels and Tires.
3. Install a decent radio.
4. Install a NEW muffler.
5. Prep the car for its NEW paint job. (Im not quite sure if i want to go with a Gloss black or Flat black?)
6. Install Train Horn
7. Install PA System ( Both will be installed.........Mainly for self entertainment....LOL) :banana

Im sure i'll come across alot more ideas for the UAV, but right now none come to mind. If anyone else has any ideas pertaining to wheels, seats, mufflers, or anything else. . . . . Please let me know because i could use some good insight from someGeo Enthusiasts!

I will be updating my post and will be uploading photos within the next couple of days to keep you up to date with the UAV. . . . . . . . . It's going to be a SICK Project! :rocker

The train horn and PA system aren't going to go far toward achieving your stealthy goal ;) lol

Oh, and yeah, welcome! :)

Birmingham, I lived there for a while. What kind of train horn are you going to use?

Thanks guys!
I know the train horn and PA system are not very stealthy. . . LOL, but i already have a PA on my Toyota Tacoma and me and my friends love to mess with people, the train horn will just make it 10 times better! :lol
I'll post the pictures tomorrow of the car and see what yall think. I also would like to know what kind of wheels i could use on the car. Im sick of the 12's on the car because the whole car tends to roll when you go around turns, so im looking to get either 13's or 14's and a wider tire to make it more sturdy. Any ideas?

Well, for wheels and tires you can start http://geometroforum.com/topic/701184/1/ <-there, unless your looking for direct fit guaranteed packages new, the smallest I know of start at 13" and you can find some -> here <-. Start at the 96 year, if your running 12" rims now that means you would have to upgrade either to the 96 -> rotors/lugs or get larger lug nuts, I understand Gorilla sells them fairly reasonably.

To help with the roll in turns, pick up a set of sway bars from a '95+ sedan, the front ones bolt right on, threaded holes are already on the car. rear ones you have to drill into the spare tire well to attach, but its easy. Should be able to get the pair for <$40 at a pull a part or the like :) makes a huge difference.

That's a lot of tint. I've got 20% on mine and it's too much. At night in the rain I might as well be wearing blinders like a racehorse. Mirrors are worthless, turning your head makes for nice exercise but helps you see nothing at all. Can't imagine what 15% must be like. I've also never heard of putting any tint at all on the windshield, other than a band at the top.

I've seen a few tinted windshields. I'm fairly certain his tint is completely illegal in Alabama, but I don't think you really get stopped for it.

Use a CB radio for the PA system, youll pay less and plus its always handy to have a CB. not to mention a fender mounted K40 looks pretty slick on a metro B-) you can get most all the stuff at a truck stop, but if you cant find a decent priced PA speaker PM me i may have one laying arround somewhere.
cheepest way ive seen to do it is get a speaker one from a WOLO horn that plays all those cheezy tunes cut the wire at the end put a mono 1/8" mini jack on it and plug it into the PA slot of your CB mount in lower grille of front bumper (trust me it fits)

For paint id go Satin or simi gloss , over flat or full gloss especaly if your going UAV style, we had an old Ford drag truck we painted at the shop that was in Satin black that looked good :drool

I wish VA had leaner tint laws we can only do 50 on the front 35 everywhere else and if you do tint your windsheild you have to have a doctors note, and even at that you can only go to the AS2 line and still the darkest you can have is 40%... and yes they check here.

Oh and yes Welcome to the Site :cheers

yeah, the tint is pretty dark, but in Alabama they really dont care as much as they use too. It looks really good though.
I like the idea of Satin Black as well, i havnt really thought of that.
And ill be taking my CB out of my Toyota and putting the PA in the Geo. It shouldnt take that long to do.
Im really hoping to get some wheels next week. . . . . ill upload some photos today, seein how im off work and its nice out on this Memorial Day! :cheers
